Is everything you use vegan and cruelty free?
Yes! Everything we use at Bee Kind Studio is 100% vegan and cruelty free. From our color/product line to the milk we offer for coffee – all are free from animal derived ingredients and are never tested on animals. Bee Kind Studio is also eco-friendly. Visit our sustainability page to learn more.
Is Bee Kind Studio a gender neutral salon? What does that mean?
At Bee Kind Studio creating an inclusive and safe space for all, not just folks who identify within the gender binary, is priority. Bee Kind Studio is a gender neutral, LGBTQ+ inclusive salon and we price based on length/thickness of hair, amount of product needed, and the demand on Artist’s time – not gender.
Is Bee Kind Studio an organic/chemical free salon?
Because we are a vegan and cruelty free salon, it is a common misconception that all the products we work with are also organic and chemical free. This is NOT the case. We pride ourselves on carrying high quality vegan and cruelty free products from brands such as Authentic Beauty Concepts, Pulp Riot, Oligo, Emera, Olaplex and Surface Hair Health. However, Bee Kind Studio is not an organic or chemical free salon.
What forms of payment do we accept?
We accept all major credit cards, ApplePay, and cash for payment of services. We do not accept checks as form of payment. Gratuities are cash only. We can not add gratuities to card payments.
Why do we require a credit card on file to schedule an appointment with us?
We kindly ask for your up-to-date credit card information to reserve your appointment to protect the valuable time of our team and to ensure our cancellation/ late policies are upheld.

Is a consultation required prior to making an appointment?
Yes, consultations are required prior to scheduling an appointment for all new clients and for existing clients who may have had services done somewhere else since the last time they visited Bee Kind Studio. You can find our New Client Appointment Request Form here.
Do you do children’s hair?
Bee Kind Studio does not service children under the age of 13. For any client under the age of 18, a guardian will be required to be present for the full duration of the appointments consultation.
Can I bring a friend or additional guest to my appointment with me?
Due to our studio being a small, intimate space you must arrive to your appointment alone. No additional guests will be permitted unless the appointment holder is under the age of 18 and a parent/guardian needs to attend.
Can I bring my child with me to my appointment?
No, we do not allow children in the studio. We understand circumstances arise, but in order to keep a relaxing and safe environment, childcare must be arranged prior to your service.
Can I bring my own hair products to use at my appointment?
No, we do not allow the use of outside hair products while in the studio.
Should I arrive to my color appointment with clean or dirty hair?
Please arrive to your appointment with clean, completely dried hair. It makes a difference applying color to clean vs dirty hair.
How should I arrive to my appointment for a curly haircut?
Arrive with your hair down and fully dried in its natural pattern. Hair should be clean, washing day of or 1 day before appointment. No pony tails, clips, or hat head. Minimal product.
